Le Comte Award 2025

When: 2025
Where: Professor Hoogwerfflaan, Delft

What:
- 30 Children from the nearby primary school were given a drawing workshop and drew out their dreams for the future, to give them the confidence to dream about a bright future and pursue their dreams;
-I gave the buildings' residents 3 designs to choose from;
- The colors and shapes are aligned with the colors of the flat and surrounding area. The shapes represent the diverse range of the layers of society present in that area of the city;
- The same children painted in the colorful shapes as part of a school subject to learn about the value of art;
- I painted in their 30 dreams on the wall in a subtle way to make people walking by come closer to see more stories.

Award
In the public's choice award all residents of Delft could vote for public artworks made in 2025.

Murals

Would you like an indoor mural in the kitchen, nursery, or bedroom? Here you can see the works I have completed so far. You can also choose to submit your own design, select one of mine, or send an idea that I will first develop digitally for you. Designing usually takes a week and painting three afternoons. The price depends on the design and travel time; I prefer working in Newcastle upon Tyne, South Holland and Utrecht: Bodegraven, Delft, Leiden, and Utrecht.

How does it work?

We discuss your wishes, the theme, colors and other possibilities;

I design 3 ideas digitally;

I will show you digitally what these designs will look like on your wall;

Painting can take 3 days to 2 weeks depending on the size;

Art

Would you like unique art on your wall? View my recent artworks here. I work with acrylic wall paint and oil paint, and prefer working on canvas or wood. It is also possible to order a painting from me or have one made from a photo or design. My studio is located in the heart of the historic city of Delft, where you can come by to take a look.
